  1. I really enjoyed this book. I liked the tasty, low calorie recipes that are so easy to prepare. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to lose weight fast. I felt full and was not hungry like on some of the other diets I have tried.

  2. The best thing I ever did for my husband and myself was to read Linda Yo’s “Asian Slim Secrets”. For years I have struggled with trying to lose weight. I have tried just about every diet and diet supplement on the market but to no avail. The biggest problem; I never felt full. After reading Linda’s suggestions, I went to the store and bought everything that was listed in the book and I immediately started applying the principles to my way of life. Eating the wrong foods can make you fat, but eating the right foods together can make you slim. The recipes are delicious and the exercise program is easy. If you want immediate results, read Asian Slim Secrets immediately. I only wish I had found this book years ago.

This book really taught my family and I how our bodies digestive system responds to different types of foods. We learned how to use that response to lose weight and not feel hungary all the time. We now understand the very logical reasons why Asian people typically have no problem staying slim and how our traditional American eating habits make us fat. Just by using the advice from this book we lost the weight without feeling like we were starving. Also, we did not have to just eat Asian food, the principles we learned are applicable to all types of foods. I also like the simple and easy to follow exercise program that accompanied the simple easy to follow diet.. although I hate to call it a diet because I did not feel like I was dieting. The exercises don’t require any special equipment or membership, I would even do them at work or in front of the TV. I believe this book is one of those unique weight loss book that can realistically be applied in our busy lives. The Asian secrets are really more like… wow, why wasn’t I taught this in nutrition class. It makes perfect sense and is so simple my 12 year old daughter caught on and changed her eating habits as well!! A major break through for inactive obese kids of todays day and age.

If you are looking for a new way of eating that is healthy, enjoyable, and easy and on top of that you lose weight, then you will enjoy reading this book. Linda Yo is an entertaining writer but also backs up her ideas with sound information. I have learned how to cook healthier, tasty meals that are quick and easy to prepare. I have less than 20 pounds to lose and nothing was getting those pounds off but, after 2 weeks of being on her program I have lost 4 lbs, have lots of energy and am not craving foods or feeling hungry like I did with all the other diets that I’ve tried. I have shared the information from this book with my 27 year old son who was looking for a simple and healthy way of cooking for himself. This is not just another diet book. Lots of great recipes. You can make personal adjustments easily. I highly recommend Linda Yo’s book as well as her videos on YouTube.

  5. L. Gilmore says:

This book is okay, and it has some good recipies in it, but it is a very simplistic book, and doesn’t say a lot that you don’t already know. It’s not that expensive, so if you are looking for a quick read on Asian food, it’s fine, but this book is not going to change your life or give you the “secret” to weight loss.
